Safety & Help

If something doesn’t feel right, you have a way to reach us.

Contact the site owner

For safety concerns, account access, a report follow-up or a request to reconsider a decision:

No sign-in needed. If the link doesn’t open your email app, copy the address into your usual email service.

Replies are handled manually and are not immediate.

Report where it happened

  • Club or Community Table comment: open the member’s options beside their name and choose Report.
  • Note: open that Note’s ⋯ menu and choose Report this note.
  • Club memory: use its Report action in the club scrapbook.

After sending, look for Report recorded. If saving cannot be confirmed, your explanation stays in the form so you can try again.

A report asks for review. It does not automatically remove content or penalize someone.

Who receives a report?

Club owners and moderators handle club comment and memory reports. Their review queue does not display your name, though the details you provide could identify you.

Reporting a Note shares that selected Note’s text and your reason with the site’s feedback reviewers. It does not share the rest of your conversation.

For a concern about a club host or moderator, email the site owner directly. You do not need to send the concern through that club’s report queue.

Repeat reports and new information

For club and Community Table comments, a review that takes no action starts a 24-hour cooldown for the same concern about the unchanged version. Routine repeats receive the earlier outcome. They do not restart the clock or automatically reopen a case.

Changed content, new evidence, a different concern and urgent safety concerns can still reach review. Choose the appropriate option when reporting the comment. New information for your open case is attached to that case. Rate limits still apply; you can contact safety@chaptermates.com if you cannot submit.

Club reviewers cannot decide a report they submitted or a report about their own comment. Contact the site owner if an independent reviewer is needed. Club photo reports now have recorded outcomes and the same protection against self-review. Their receipts remain after removal. Notes also prevent reviewers from deciding reports they submitted or reports about Notes they sent. The 24-hour repeat-report rule currently applies only to comments. For Notes and club photos, use an available request for another look after an outcome, or email new information.

Follow up or ask for another look

Open My reports → to see your saved reports and available updates. Sign in to view your own list.

After an eligible recorded outcome, choose Ask for another look. Your private request holds your explanation, additional information and reviewer responses. It shows whether it is received, being reviewed, or has a response.

The reporter, content author and original decision-maker cannot review that request. A response does not automatically reverse the outcome or restore content. Check My reports for responses; these requests do not send email alerts.

For an action affecting your own content or account, an earlier report without sufficient records, or help when no independent reviewer is available, use the email address above. Replies are manual and depend on a suitable reviewer being available.

Reported comments, Notes and club memories stay covered for you until you choose to reveal them. Change your saved cover choice in My reports; closing a report does not remove your personal cover.

Email the club or member name, roughly when it happened, and a brief explanation of your concern. Include a link if you have one, or a report reference if one was provided.

For a decision you disagree with, explain what you think was missed and any new information. If you cannot sign in, the email address above still works.

Keep passwords, sign-in codes and unrelated private conversations out of your message. Report suspected illegal material by describing its location; do not download or forward it.

Make some space

You can mute a Notes conversation or block a member through the existing member and conversation options. Blocking does not remove someone from a club or make your public posts private.

You can also leave a conversation while you decide what to do next.

Immediate danger? Contact local emergency services. Chapter Mates is not an emergency service.
